About Me

Hi, there! I'm Jessie. :) 

After almost 20 years as a stay-at-home mom of 5 kids, I re-entered the workforce in my 40s to see what the professional world had in store for me. 

As a homemaker, homeschool mom, support group leader, nonprofit volunteer, and tutor,  I had developed a wide variety of skills in communications, project management, leadership, and personal coaching, and I wanted to leverage that experience to help others.

In 2019, I put those skills to work to achieve a degree and certificates in Computer Information Systems, Marketing, and Professional Sales and started my current role as News & Media Director at WGRT 102.3 FM right after graduation.

My position at the radio station includes news writing and on-air news reporting, radio show and podcast hosting, producing and marketing podcasts, voiceover work, ad writing, social media management, and many other things. 

Since I still find myself with time to create and explore, I'm also a freelance writer, voiceover artist, and personal coach who enjoys helping businesses and individuals reach their communications goals.
